Straight tone and bending pitch tone are two forms of musical sound.European classical music only uses straight ones.In the 20th century,the clarinet started to use bending pitch tones.Based on Chinese traditional music theory and practice,this article explores how to play bending pitch tones on the clarinet and explains the performance techniques of four different bending pitch tones,dedicated to the modernization and nationalization of clarinet performance both theoretically and practically.
