The Hexi Corridor is considered as the “ethnic corridor”,“cultural corridor”,“security corridor”,and “ecological corridor”with the longest history,the largest scale,and the deepest cultural accumulation in China. This area has been playing a main role of transportation hub and trad center connecting east and west,south and north,fostering trade ties and exchange between the Central Plains and the western regions,even the outside world. Its strategic position and strategic value have proven to be self-evident. Historical data indicates the Hexi Corridor has played an important historical role in the formation of ancient Chinese civilization and its process of multi-ethnic integration and communication. Speaking from the generation logic of the consciousness of the national community in the Hexi Corridor,the formation of the consciousness of the national community in the Hexi Corridor can be defined as a deep combination of history and reality and the tight unity of theory and practice. Its formation not only appears to help the formation of a Chinese national community consciousness but also contributes to the cohesion and development of its own local-ethnic community consciousness.To try to explain the historical logic of the Hexi Corridor in the process of forming a consciousness of the Chinese national community is to attempt to clarify the historical and cultural positioning of the Hexi Corridor in the Chinese national community and explore the historical contribution of the Hexi corridor to the formation of the Chinese national community. The theoretical logic of forging a consciousness of the national community in the Hexi Corridor is understood by this article to take a Marxist national view as its theoretical guidance,constantly deepen the combination of this Marxist national view and the ethnic history of the Hexi Corridor,and to strive to promote the innovative development of the Chinese national community.The practical logic of strengthening the consciousness of the national community in the Hexi Corridor is to deepen the practice of cultural exchanges and integration of the national community in the Hexi Corridor based on the ethnic cultures and history of the Hexi Corridor;comprehensively,deeply,and persistently promote the cause of national unity and progress;and actualize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.To conclude,the above confirms the prevailing notion that to strengthen the consciousness of the national community in the Hexi Corridor in the new era of China,the leadership of the Party needs to be earnestly and comprehensively strengthened and the education of national unity should be intensified;regional economic mutual assistance be increased, integrity maintained and development characteristics innovated;the patriotic united front be deepened and ideological and political guidance stepped up;ethnic cultural exchanges be expanded and ethnic cultural identity enhanced;the rule of law in ethnic areas improved and ethnic affairs handled in accordance with the law;the modernization and civilization growth of the Hexi Corridor be put into action,value empowerment provided for the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
