The academic field of archives management needs a new’Academic Observation’column and its research objects are the archival community’s scholars(individuals and academic communities),academic history,academic theories,academic achievements(including the content and quality of academic results,academic trends,academic hotspots,reviews of important results,and the current state of development of basic and applied theories,etc.),academic spirit,academic environment,academic mechanism,disciplinary development trends and outlook,academic influence,international cooperation,Sino-foreign comparisons and other related issues.Its functions are academic summary,academic evaluation,academic criticism,academic history research,future prediction,as well as proving the legitimacy of knowledge,removing disadvantages and recommending excellence,disciplinary refinement and interdisciplinarity,etc.This section emphasizes the blossoming of a hundred flowers and the contention of a hundred schools of thought,and encourages the plurality and diversity of authors and works,including the standard paradigm of academic papers as well as academic essays,essays,short articles,debates,dialogues,interviews,etc.
