中外混合班医学细胞生物学教学中应用优化CBL教学方式对留学生学习效果的影响

The influence of optimized CBL teaching method on the learning effect of international students in the teaching of medical cell biology in mixed class of Chinese and international students

摘要 目的探讨中外学生混合班医学细胞生物学教学中应用优化CBL教学方式对留学生学习效果的影响。方法选择遵义医科大学2018级、2019级和2020级五年制临床医学专业留学生和中国学生为研究对象,每个级次设置1个中外学生混合班(1个留学生自然班和3个中国学生自然班组成)和1个中国学生平行班(4个中国学生自然班组成),对3个级次混合班中外学生和平行班中国学生实施医学细胞生物学理论教学。其中,2018级混合班和平行班采用传统的基于讲授学习(lecture-based learning,LBL)+基于案例学习(case-based learning,CBL)教学方式;2019级和2020级混合班采用优化CBL教学方式,平行班仍然采用传统的LBL+CBL教学方式。教学结束后,采用考试成绩与问卷调查结果比较不同教学方式应用于不同班级和不同学生的教学效果。结果2018级混合班留学生形成性考核与期末笔试成绩均显著低于混合班和平行班中国学生成绩,其差异均具有统计学意义(均P<0.01);2019级和2020级混合班留学生形成性考核与期末笔试成绩与混合班和平行班中国学生成绩比较,其差异均无统计学意义(均P>0.05)。针对留学生的问卷调查结果显示,应用优化CBL教学方式后,混合班留学生对课程教学的满意度显著高于传统的LBL+CBL教学方式,其差异具有统计学意义(P<0.01)。结论医学细胞生物学理论教学中应用优化的CBL教学方式,能够取得良好的教学效果,有效缩小留学生与中国学生的学习差距,留学生接受度和满意度均较高,其考核成绩比较稳定,亦适用于不同学情的留学生。 Objective To explore the influence of optimizing CBL teaching method on the learning effect of international students in the teaching of medical cell biology in mixed class of Chinese and international students.Methods International students majoring in clinical medicine and Chinese students majoring in 2018,2019 and 2020 in Zunyi Medical University were selected as the research objects.Each level has 1 mixed class for Chinese and foreign students(1 natural class for international students and 3 natural classes for Chinese students)and 1 parallel class for Chinese students(4 natural classes for Chinese students).The theory teaching of medical cell biology was carried out for Chinese and foreign students in 3 level mixed classes and Chinese students in parallel classes.Among them,the 2018 mixed class and parallel class adopted the traditional lecture-based learning(LBL)+case-based learning(CBL)teaching mode,the mixed classes of 2019 and 2020 adopted optimized CBL teaching mode,parallel classes of 2019 and 2020 still adopted the traditional LBL+CBL teaching mode.After the teaching,test results and questionnaire survey results were used to compare the teaching effects of different teaching methods applied to different classes and different students.Results The results of the formative assessment and the final written test of 2018 international students were significantly lower than those of Chinese students.The difference was statistically significant(all P<0.01).There were no statistically significant differences between the scores of formative assessment and final written test of international students in 2019 and 2020 and those of Chinese students(all P>0.05).The results of the questionnaire showed that the degree of satisfaction of international students after the reform was significantly higher than before,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01)after applying and optimizing CBL teaching mode.Conclusions The teaching mode of medical cell biology course characterized by optimized CBL has good teaching effect,can effectively narrow the learning gap between foreign students and domestic students,has high acceptance and satisfaction in students,and has stable assessment results.It is generally suitable for students with different classmates.
