Compared with ordinary tunnels, tunnels in water rich soft and broken rock strata are special.In order to ensure the good development of tunnel construction, more comprehensive and high-level construction technologies should be adopted in the actual construction. Based on this, the general situation of this construction is introduced at first, and then the characteristics of water rich soft broken rock tunnel and the existing safety risk points are determined. Finally, the consolidation excavation technology in tunnel construction is studied to ensure the safety and effectiveness of tunnel construction, and provide conditions for the good application of consolidation excavation technology in water rich soft broken rock tunnel in China in the future.
