In the new educational background,English thematic reading teaching should take the theme as the main line of reading,and teachers should constantly guide students to explore the connotation,signifi cance,culture and other aspects of the theme.In the teaching process,teachers can improve the effect of reading teaching through the integration of in-class and out-class resources,expanding the theme content and carrying out group reading activities for students.
