Feng Zikai was a renowned modern Chinese writer,painter,arts educator and translator who had a lifelong love of children and was straightforward about truth and valued emotion.Having grown up in a family that befriended emotions,Feng carried on the educational customs in the raising of his own children.He was able to see and accept children’s emotions and to allow them to express themselves as they please.Such a family education practice is still relevant today.
