岭南医家梁觉玄对针灸海外传播的贡献

Contribution of Lingnan Practitioner LIANG Jue-Xuan to the Overseas Spread of Acupuncture and Moxibustion

岭南医家梁觉玄(亦称作Leung Kok Yuen;1922-2013)出身于中医世家,自幼随父吟诵岐黄,其继承祖传医术,曾事多师。在中医学术思想方面,提出“精”“神”“气”是生命三宝;辨证推崇《医宗金鉴》;认为养生之要在于寡欲宁心;治病主要采用针灸疗法,同时配合运动保健疗法。其长期从事中医针灸教育,积极推动针灸在北美洲的合法化,对中医的海外本地化产生重大的影响。梁觉玄的突出成就在于推动针灸在海外的传播:通过培养海外针灸人才,奠定针灸海外办学模式;在海外开展针灸医疗服务与演示,积极推动针灸在北美洲的立法;推动中医融入西方,促进中医针灸学术流派的海外繁荣与发展。梁觉玄一生致力于针灸的教学、海外传播工作,为培养澄江学派针灸人才、传播针灸知识、促进海外中医教育、推动中医的海外本地化做出了突出贡献。

LIANG Jue-Xuan(1922-2013), also known as LEUNG Kok-Yuen, came from a family of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)practitioners. He was brought up in his father’s education of TCM and inherited his ancestral medical skills,and has learned from several masters. In his academic thoughts of TCM,LEUNG Kok-Yuen proposed that“essence”,“spirit”and“qi”were the three precious things of life, highly praised Golden Mirror of the Medicine(Yi Zong Jin Jian)for the differentiation of syndromes,believed that the key to health-preserving was to cleanse one’s heart and limit one’s desires. He advocated acupuncture and moxibustion as the main therapy,together with exercise and health caring for the treatment of the diseases. LEUNG Kok-Yuen had a long career in acup-moxibustion education and was active in promoting the legalization of acupuncture and moxibustion in North America, which had a significant impact on the localization of overseas TCM. He has made outstanding achievements in promoting the spread of acupuncture and moxibustion overseas by training overseas talents of acupuncture and moxibustion and laying down a model for running overseas schools of acupuncture and moxibustion, conducte overseas medical services and demonstrations of acupuncture and moxibustion to actively promote legislation on acupuncture and moxibustion in North America,and promoting the melting of TCM into western medicine and enhancing oversea boosting and development of academic schools of acupuncture and moxibustion. LEUNG Kok-Yuen has devoted his life to teaching acupuncture and moxibustion and spreading it overseas, and has made outstanding contribution to the training of acupuncture talents of the Chengjiang School, to spreading knowledge of acupuncture and moxibustion, promoting overseas education of TCM and the localization of TCM.
