The international community celebrated the 27th World Wetlands Day on February 2,2023.In August 2021,the UN(United Nations)General Assemblyadopted a resolutionthat established February 2 as World Wetlands Day.The event was intended to raise awareness about wetlands,to reverse their rapid loss and to encourage actions to conserve and restore the wetlands.This year's theme is"It's Time for Wetland Restoration,"which highlights the urgent need to prioritize wetland restoration.
