摘要
As a clinical psychologist,I avoid responding to people’s troubles and concerns with an attitude such as,“Well,we all have problems so stop complaining.”It’s important not to compare people’s concerns to others,as everyone is going through their own specific hardships.Pain is pain and we all experience it in our own manner,at least so I thought.For example,when I’m grieving,a crisis,or just confused as I lay awake at 3am,knowing people around the world are going through their own struggles actually makes it easier for me to sleep.I just want my feelings to improve,so I try to have this understanding with everyone in my work.
