实现中华民族伟大复兴是中国共产党百年奋斗的历史使命,对中国式现代化道路的探索是完成这一历史使命的核心要义。具体而言,这一百年的探索包括新民主主义时期萌芽的“工业化”、社会主义革命和建设时期探索的“四个现代化”、改革开放和社会主义现代化建设新时期形成的“中国式现代化”以及新时代实践的“中国式现代化道路”。新民主主义时期萌芽的“工业化”,主要是以新民主主义革命推翻“三座大山”,为中国现代化创造良好发展环境,并在此基础上实现经济、政治、文化发展,推进工业化进程。社会主义革命和建设时期探索的“四个现代化”,主要是在完成社会主义改造基础上,实现从“以苏为鉴”到“走自己的路”的发展模式转变、从“工业化”到“四个现代化”的发展目标转变、从“赶超战略”到“两步走”的发展战略转变。改革开放和社会主义现代化建设新时期探索形成“中国式现代化”,主要是在中国特色社会主义理论指导下,开创出一条具有中国特色的现代化道路,顺利完成了中国式现代化的“模式”转换。新时代实践的“中国式现代化道路”,在明确现阶段复杂的世情、国情、党情“新”变化前提下,明确了以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为现代化指导思想、以中国梦和“两步走”战略为现代化总任务、以“五位一体”总体布局和“四个全面”战略布局,为新时代走好中国式现代化道路提供了科学指南。科学认识中国式现代化道路在每一个历史阶段的丰富内涵,对我们坚定四个自信,走好新时代“赶考路”具有重要现实意义。

To realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is the historical mission of the Chinese Communist Party’s century-long struggle, and the exploration of the Chinese path to modernization is the core part for completing this historical mission. Specifically, this one-hundred-year exploration includes the ’industrialization ’ that sprouted during the new-democratic revolution period, the ’ four modernizations ’ explored during the period of socialist revolution and construction, the ’ Chinese modernization ’ formed during the period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization, and the ’ Chinese path to modernization’ practiced in the new era. The " industrialization " that sprouted in the new-democratic revolution period was mainly about toppling the " three mountains " to create a sound development environment for China’s modernization, and on this basis,realize China’s economic, political and cultural development and promote its industrialization. The " four modernizations " explored in the period of socialist revolution and construction was mainly about realizing the transformation of the development model based on the completion of socialist transformation, and switching from the development mode of " following the Soviet Union" to " taking its own road ", from the development goal of "industrialization " to " four modernizations, " and from " catch-up strategy " to " two-step " development strategy.The " Chinese modernization " formed during the period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization was mainly about creating a Chinese path of modernization,under the guidance of the socialism theory with Chinese characteristics and thus successfully completing the " mode " transformation of Chinese modernization. The Chinese path to modernization practiced in the new era provided a scientific guide, pointing out new changes around the complicated world, the nation, and the Party, and upholding Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the overarching guide, making the Five-Sphere Integrated Plan and the Four-pronged Comprehensive Strategy as the overall plan for modernization. A scientific understanding of the rich connotation of the Chinese path to modernization at each historical stage is of great practical significance for us to strengthen the four self-confidences and better embark on a new journey in the new era.
