From the perspective of editors,topic selection planning of academic journals of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)may promote the development of TCM,so as to influence the promotion of discourse power of TCM.Topic selection planning in TCM journals should consider both confirmation and syndrome differentiation.Confirmation is a general expression based on scientific language and a bridge to connect TCM with other disciplines.Syndrome differentiation is the core for TCM to enhance academic confidence,and both the starting and ending point of constructing the discourse system of TCM.Neither should be emphasized at the expense of the other.
