Improving Scientific Research Ability of College Counselors: Goals, Obstacles and Approaches

学生工作与学术科研不能断裂,辅导员做科研是实现辅导员工匠化、职业化、专家化的必然要求。提升高校辅导员的科研能力事关培养担当民族复兴大任的时代新人的质量,事关辅导员综合素质和职业胜任力的提升,事关辅导员教师与干部双重身份的良性互动,事关高校思想政治教育工作理论的丰富和发展。当前高校辅导员科研能力不足的类型可归纳为:时间不足型、能力不足型和动力不足型。提升高校辅导员的科研能力需从环境营造、兴趣激发、动力补足、能力提升四个方面入手,不断优化科研环境、增强科研意识、增加科研激励、提升科研素养,从而提升高校辅导员做科研的内生动力,助推辅导员开展更高质量的学生思想政治工作。

Students’ affairs and academic research cannot be broken, and it is necessary for counselors to do scientific research to become craftsmen, professionals and experts. Improving scientific research ability of college counselors is related to the training quality of new generation taking on the great responsibility of national rejuvenation, to the improvement of college counselors’ comprehensive quality and professional competence, to the positive interaction between dual identities of teachers and cadres, and to enrichment and development of ideological and political education theories in universities. The present poor scientific research ability of college counselors mainly come down to the following reasons, namely, lack of time, lack of ability and lack of motivation. College counselors’ scientific research ability improvement should be realized through environment construction, interest stimulation, driving power complement, and capability improvement. We need to continuously improve scientific research environment, enhance scientific consciousness, increase scientific rewards, and improve scientific capability, so as to improve the inner driving power for college counselors’ scientific research and help them carry out higher-quality students’ affairs.
