Expression of MTHFD2 and its association with immune infiltration in oral squamous cell carcinoma

摘要 目的:探讨亚甲基四氢叶酸脱氢酶2(methylenete trahydrofolate dehydrogenase 2,MTHFD2)在口腔鳞状细胞癌(oral squamous cell carcinoma, OSCC)中的生物学意义及其潜在治疗靶点。方法:通过生信分析和免疫组化共同分析MTHFD2的蛋白表达谱和预后价值。利用组织芯片进一步评估OSCC中MTHFD2的表达,并评估MTHFD2表达与总体生存期相关性,探讨MTHFD2在免疫浸润中的意义。结果:通过组织芯片验证MTHFD2在OSCC中表达显著升高(P<0.05),且与总体生存期存在相关性。生物信息分析MTHFD2在OSCC中与免疫细胞及免疫检查点具有相关性(P<0.05)。结论:MTHFD2的上调可能是OSCC潜在的致癌风险因子。MTHFD2可能促进OSCC肿瘤细胞免疫浸润。 Objective:To explore the biological significance of methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase 2(MTHFD2)and its potential therapeutic target in OSCC.Methods:The expression profile and prognostic value of MTHFD2 were analyzed by bioinformatics analysis and immunohistochemistry.Tissue microarray was used to evaluate the expression of MTHFD2 in OSCC,to evaluate the correlation between MTHFD2 expression and overall survival(OS),and to explore its significance with immune infiltration.Results:We verified by tissue microarray that MTHFD2 expression was significantly increased in OSCC(P<0.05),and it was correlated with OS.Bioinformatics analysis of the correlation of MTHFD2 with immune cells and immune checkpoints in OSCC(P<0.05).Conclusion:The upregulation of MTHFD2 might be a potential carcinogen gene in OSCC.MTHFD2 could improve immune infiltration.
