In Neuromancer,Gibson imagines a future heterotopia space that looks vaguely different from the real world.Through the protagonist’s roaming in real space and cyberspace,the novel shows the multi-layer spatial structure,challenges the original concept of time and space,and changes the way people perceive them.Through this novel,Gibson describes the escape of human beings from the real city space and their yearning for virtual space in the future and thinks about the impact and influence that future science and technology may bring to the world,which can be regarded as heterotopia’s new imagination of virtual space reality in the Internet age.
