This paper analyses the illustrations of modern expressions, while incorporating relevant traditional elements, so that the two expressions are effectively combined and complement each other, bringing modernity and tradition to a new situation of harmony and unity. This makes the work more expressive and allows the beauty to be further sublimated. Modern methods of expression: the combination of abstraction and figuration;graphical and abstraction;the use of modern colors. These methods enrich the expression of character illustration design, and they also provide reference for the modern design application of traditional elements.
