摘要
电子竞技在我国从过去“不务正业”的偏见,到如今“蓬勃产业”的形象转变,除了政策上的扶持,媒体在塑造公众社会认知上发挥了重要的作用。2021年11月7日,中国EDG战队获得了英雄联盟S11赛季全球总决赛冠军,许多媒体对此进行了报道。本文将通过费尔克拉夫的批判性话语分析方法,探究媒体如何建构电子竞技的媒介形象并重塑大众对电子竞技的媒介认知。研究发现,媒体在报道电子竞技议题时,以积极正面的情感态度为主,通过将其与电子游戏区分边界,寻找与传统棋艺的共通之处,来建构其正当化、职业化的媒介形象。文章提出,在建构电子竞技积极正面的媒介形象的同时,也应合理报道其问题,促进电子竞技健康有序地发展。
E-sports in our country from the bias of the past “doing irrelevant business”, to now the image of the “booming industry”, in addition to the support in policy, the media has played an important role in shaping the public social cognition. On November 7, 2021, China EDG team won the League of Legends S11 World Championship, which was reported by many media. Through Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis method, this paper explores how the media constructs the media image of e-sports and reshapes the public’s media cognition of e-sports. It is found that when reporting e-sports issues, the media mainly adopt positive emotional attitude. By distinguishing the boundary between e-sports and electronic games, they seek common points with traditional chess skills, so as to construct their justified and professional media image. This article puts forward that while constructing the positive media image of e-sports, it should also report its problems reasonably to promote the healthy and orderly development of e-sports.
