Engine is an important power source of vehicles and an important part of the automobile industry. It is the power system driving vehicles. However, there are many kinds of automobile engines in our country at present. It is easy to have engine system failures in use, which will have a certain impact on the driving safety and reliability of vehicles. This paper summarizes the commonly used fault diagnosis technology and maintenance methods of the engine at present, and puts forward suggestions for the future maintenance work according to the development trend of the automobile technology at present.
