摘要
我是一个戏曲演员,在旧社会里是被压迫的,自幼受到一些旧思想的熏染。对于社会的发展规律缺乏认识,阶级觉悟很差,凭着自己的良心,我只能学习着人民的特别是戏曲界一些传统的美德,勉力做一个善良、正直、勤劳、爱国的艺术劳动者而已。我一向对封建统治者、军阀、腐化官僚、国民党反动派、特务流氓和帝国主义侵略者是深为憎恨的。但是由于自己勇气不够和孤立无援,不可能进行正面的斗争,内心是极其痛苦的。
I am a Peking opera performer.In the old days,my kind was oppressed,and all I could learn was old and obsolete ideas as I grew up.As a result,I did not know much about the law of social development and did not have much class consciousness.I could only follow my conscience and try to be a kind,upright,hard-working and patriotic actor by learning from people around me,especially those in my line of work,men with traditional virtues of Chinese nation.However,despite my visceral hatred for feudal rulers,warlords,corrupt bureaucrats,KMT reactiona ries,spies,hooligans,and imperialistic aggressors,I did not have enough courage or external help to stand up to them face to face,which caused me extreme pain.
