摘要
“原始艺术”既是西方艺术人类学的核心范畴,也是现代主义艺术史的一个核心概念。在现代主义理论更新的背景下,有必要重谈原始艺术与原始主义,从而加深对现代艺术的理解。分析原始艺术与现代艺术的亲缘性,首先要从原始艺术在西方近现代的早期传播、接受和品赏状况入手,讨论其对现代艺术发生、发展的推动作用;其次通过甄辨原始与原始主义的内涵,述评各种类型的现代原始主义艺术,并着重探讨毕加索和杜尚艺术中的原始主义,试图得出一种新的理解;最后借由审视现代主义命运中潜藏的原始主义基因及其在当代中的体现,深化对原始艺术、原始主义和现代主义之间关系的理解。
"Primitive art" is not only the core of western art anthropology,but also a central concept of modernist art history.As modernist theories are developing,it is necessary to revisit primitive art and primitivism,so as to further understand modern art.To analyze the affinity between primitive art and modern art,we should first look at the spread,acceptance and appreciation of primitive art in the early modern times in the west,and discuss its role in promoting the emergence and development of modern art;second,we should contrast connotations of primitiveness and primitivism,comment various types of modern primitivist art,and focus on the primitivism in the art of Picasso and Duchamp,trying to gain a new understanding;finally,we should further grasp the relationship between primitive art,primitivism and modernism by reviewing primitivist genes hidden in modernism and their manifestation in the contemporary era.
