Dimension,Element and Form:Symbolic Construction of Portraits

随着时代和艺术的发展,肖像画由再现人物形象的记录功能向表现艺术家思想情感与时代精神风尚等多种功能转变,尤其是象征和隐喻的功能越来越受到重视。本文通过对艺术家的作品与自身创作实践的分析,从肖像画中象征性元素的选择、象征形式的营造等方面,阐释和建构肖像画的象征维度。

With the development of the times and art,portraits are less of reproducing images,and more of expressing artists’ thoughts and feelings and the spirit of the times.Their symbolic and metaphoric functions,in particular,have raised increasing attention.Through analyzing artworks and the author’s own experience,this paper interprets and constructs the symbolic dimension of portraits from such aspects as the selection of symbolic elements and the creation of symbolic forms.
