The Emerging Nature and Foundation of Deep Immersion in the Metaverse

元宇宙之所以成为可能,一个最重要的特征是其深度沉浸性。对深度沉浸感的生成本质特征进行分析,发现深度沉浸主要表现在时间性的沉淀和空间性的扩展,深度沉浸的空间性是时间性的外部表现形式;对深度沉浸感的生成机制进行探讨,指出深度沉浸的基础是感知主体的行动具身性所包含的感知整体性、感知-运动一体性和感知协同性,以及认知延展性所包含的虚拟与虚幻的区分、现实对虚拟的反向补偿以及化身认知的非表征性。

One of the most important features that makes the metaverse possible is deep immersion.Through the re-analysis of the essential characteristics of immersion,it is considered that the essence of deep immersion is mainly reflected in the sedimentation of temporality and the expansion of space,and the space of immersion is the external expression of temporality.The exploring of the generating mechanism of deep immersion points out that the basis of deep immersion is action embodied which includes perceptual integrity,sensor-motion unity and perceptual cooperativity,and cognition extended which includes the distinction between the virtual and illusion,the reverse compensation of reality to the virtual,and the non-representativeness of avatar’s cognition.
