从整体上看,佛教对辽朝社会产生的影响是多重的,即有消极的一面,也有积极的一面。佛教信仰也成为了辽朝境内各民族的精神纽带之一,强化了各民族信众之间的相互认同心理,对于作为多民族政权的辽朝的政治局势稳定起到了不可替代的作用。佛教信仰也使辽朝间接掌握了大量物质财富,并为维护辽朝文化的多样性做出了贡献,同时也营造了良好的文化氛围,但也制造了一些社会问题。

On the whole,Buddhism had multiple influences on the society of Liao Dynasty,including both negative and positive aspects.Buddhist belief also became oneof the spiritual bonds of all ethnic groups in the Liao Dynasty,strengthened the mutual identity between the believers of all ethnic groups,and played an irreplaceable role in the political stability of the Liao Dynasty as a multi-ethnic regime.Buddhist belief also made the Liao Dynasty indirectly grasp a large amount of material wealth,and made contributions to maintaining the cultural diversity of the Liao Dynasty.At the same time,it also created a good cultural atmosphere,but also created some social problems.
