摘要
本文分析了翻译与传播之间的相互关系及其在新时代的融合发展。翻译作为一种跨语言、跨文化的信息和思想传递,与传播具有诸多重合及差异。两者都是具有较强目的导向性的社会互动行为,且在相近的学科领域有所交叉,但在活动机制、创造力上又有所差异。技术与媒介的发展改变了翻译的形态,使翻译与传播的关系更为紧密,也使得翻译在国际传播中的重要性更为凸显。本文认为,借鉴传播学的相关概念理论,在研究对象和路径上拓展视角,可以使翻译的学科图谱更为系统全面,增强在新问题、新现象上的解释力,使翻译在国际传播能力建设中更好地发挥作用。
This paper discusses the interplay and convergence of translation and communication studies in the new media era.Translation,as a means of disseminating information and ideas crossing languages and cultures,departs from and also integrates into communication in one way or another.They both conduct goal-oriented social interactions and cross the disciplinary boundaries of each other while showcasing significant differences in terms of operation mechanism and creative competence.The advance of technology and media changes the landscape of translation by way of bringing the two disciplines closer and making more salient the role of translation in international communication.The paper holds that,drawing on the concepts and theories of communication studies,translation studies can be more systematic and inclusive,via extending the scope of objects and taking new research paths.In so doing,translation study can become more capable of examining new objects and phenomena,so as to play a more important part in the construction of international communication competence.
