Analysis of unplanned intensive care unit readmissions in kiangwu hospital

目的探討重癥患者48小時非預期重返監護病房(ICU)原因。方法收集2014年1月~2018年12月重返ICU患者的重返原因。結果從ICU轉到普通病房患者2411例,非預期重返36例,重返率1.49%,呼吸衰竭是重返的最常見原因(50%),其次是心力衰竭(25%),顱内出血及消化道出血(8.3%),心跳驟停(5.6%)。結論加強呼吸、心臟功能的監測及管理,及早發現及處理病情變化,是減少患者重返ICU的重要措施。

Objective To study the causes of patients with unplanned intensive care unit(ICU)readmissions within 48 hours.Methods This retrospective study investigated the causes of patients with unplanned ICU readmission within 48 hours between 2014 and 2018.Results A total of 2411 cases were transferred out of the ICU and 36 cases were readmitted to ICU.Respiratory failure was the most common cause of ICU readmission(50%),followed by heart failure(25%),intracranial hemorrhage(8.3%),gastrointestinal bleeding(8.3%),cardiac arrest(5.6%).Conclusion Close monitoring and management of respiratory and cardiac functions,early detection and intervention the patient's condition can reduced the incidence of unplanned ICU readmissions rate.
