A Centennial Historical Exploration of Chinese Path to Modernization

中国作为一个人口规模巨大的发展中大国,建设社会主义现代化国家的道路和其他发达国家相比任重而道远。经历了一百多年的艰辛探索,一代又一代仁人志士的艰苦奋斗,最终找到了适合自身国情的中国式现代化发展之路。鸦片战争后,由于西方列强的入侵,在其经济、文化、军事等逐步的渗透下,打断了中国原有的经济社会发展进程,并被动地纳入到西方资本主义经济新体系中,由此开启了被动向西方学习的早期现代化之路。直到中华人民共和国成立后,在中国共产党的坚强领导下,坚持以马克思主义现代化发展理论为指导,从中国具体国情出发,借鉴其他国家现代化经验,经过近百年探索,终于走出了中国式现代化的成功发展之路。中国共产党领导的社会主义现代化,既有各国现代化的共同特征,更有基于自己国情的中国特色。不仅成功实现了全面建成小康社会的奋斗目标,整体推进了我国现代化的进程,而且也发展了世界现代化理论,拓宽了世界现代化道路。

As a large developing country with a large population, China has a long way to go to build a socialist modern country. After more than one hundred years of hard exploration and generations of people with lofty ideals, we finally found a way to develop Chinese path to modernization that suits our own national conditions. After the Opium War, due to the invasion of western powers, China’s original economic and social development process was interrupted by the gradual infiltration of its economy, culture and military, and it was passively incorporated into the new system of western capitalist economy, thus opening the early modernization road of passively learning from the West. The socialist modernization led by the CPC not only has the common characteristics of modernization in all countries, but also has Chinese characteristics based on its own national conditions. It has not only successfully achieved the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way, promoted the process of China’s modernization as a whole, but also developed the theory of world modernization and widened the path of world modernization.
