In“War Lights”,Michael Ondaatje describes many small people suffering from different traumas in a narrative way of combining memory with reality,taking Britain after the Second World War as the writing background.From the perspective of trauma theory,this article looks at Ondaatje’s“War Lights”,focusing on the trauma of the typical characters Nathaniel and Rachel,comparing the different treatment methods they chose when facing trauma,and then analyzing the appropriate way to face trauma.
