STREET EATS AND PICNICS IN HONGQIAO A Japanese hub with many Asian street eats

Sauntering off to Hongqiao-the closer end,only three stops on Line 2 from Jingan Temple-we went in search of what we thought was Japan Town.While the area does house many izakaya eateries,a Japanese mall and the countrys consulate,what we learned was this area was excellent for street food from a variety of Asian countries.
