When Yifii returned to Shanghai after eight years in Belgium,he had a singular goal to open a place employing skills he learned abroad at school and various bars.What he has created is the channing Book Room,a good niche for those in the know.During the day the bright first floor slings great coffee and simple sandwichy fare.Come 7pm,people start slinking past the caffeinated,WiFi-ed customers and disappearing behind a bookshelf in back.
