During the Yan’an Period, the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region was in a predicament of being blocked. Due to the lack of medical resources, backward health conditions,serious wars and famines and other reasons,the epidemic was terrible. The Communist Party of China has carried out epidemic prevention work in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region,effectively preventing and controlling the spread of infectious diseases such as malaria,ensuring people’s health and property safety and creating a new situation in medical and health care. The Communist Party of China’s epidemic prevention work in Yan’an period has accumulated valuable experience for epidemic prevention and control in New China,and it also has important implications for epidemic prevention and control in the new era.
