The Principle of People First is the Value Orientation of the Communist Party of China

中国共产党根基在人民、血脉在人民。坚持人民至上,是中国共产党百年奋斗的宝贵历史经验,是习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的根本立场,体现了党的理想信念、性质宗旨、初心使命。从全心全意为人民服务到以人民为中心,中国共产党坚持人民至上,有其理论必然和实践必然,也有其历史必然和现实必然。百年成就源于坚持人民至上,未来道路必然坚持人民至上。

The Communist Party of China(hereafter referred to as the Party or the CPC) is rooted in the people and depends on the people. Adhering to the principle of people first is not only the valuable historical experience of the CPC in its centennial endeavors, but also the fundamental position of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era. It reflects the Party’s ideals and beliefs, nature and purpose, and original mission. From serving the people wholeheartedly to putting the people’s interests first, the CPC has always adhered to the principle of people first,which boasts the theoretical and practical inevitability, as well as the historical and modern inevitability. The centenary achievements result from adhering to the principle of people first, which is still true of the future development.
