Results: A total of 531 valid questionnaires were obtained. Age(F=3.433, P=0.037) and marital status(t=4.713, P=0.041) were the influencing factors of post-traumatic stress disorder in stroke patients. Social support, medical coping style and post-traumatic stress disorder of stroke patients were significantly correlated(P<0.01). Avoidance coping styles had a mediating effect between social support and post-traumatic stress disorder of stroke patients with an effect value of-0.654. Conclusion: Social support can directly affect the post-traumatic stress disorder of stroke patients, and it can also indirectly affect the post-traumatic stress disorder of stroke patients through avoidance coping style.
