Household Indirect Energy Consumption Changes and Inequality in China

摘要 文章利用2013年和2018年的CHIP数据,构建完全分解模型和不平等指数,分析我国家庭间接能源消费变化的驱动效应以及不平等程度。研究发现,家庭间接能源消费变化的驱动效应中消费结构和收入效应的贡献度较高,并且间接能源消费随着可支配收入的增加而增加;但不平等程度有所缓解,基尼系数下降约2个百分点。进一步探究间接能源消费不平等缩小的原因,将基尼系数进行结构分解发现,间接能源消费分项支出的增加会缩小间接能源消费的差距;将泰尔指数进行分解发现,城乡间接能源消费差距略有扩大,但是城镇内部和农村内部差距在缩小。回归分解的结果表明,可支配收入、是否居住在城市、城镇化水平以及受教育程度是影响间接能源消费差距的关键因素。 Energy plays an important role in the process of building a society of resource-saving and environment-friendly.Based on the CHIP data of 2013 and 2018,a complete decomposition model is constructed to analyze the driving effect of household indirect energy consumption and inequality index is used to dissect energy inequality in China.It shows that the structure and income effects contribute to the driving effect of household indirect energy consumption which increases along with household disposable income during this period and has become less unequal during this period with the Gini coefficient falling by 2 percent but energy consumption increasing by 81 percent.After the analysis of structural reasons to have caused the closing energy consumption inequality,it finds that the increase of all categories of indirect energy consumption expenditure will indeed narrow the gap.The decomposition of Theil index shows that although the gap between urban and rural indirect energy consumption has widened slightly,but the internal gap has narrowed.The result of regression-based decomposition indicates that disposable income,urban residence,urbanization and education are important factors that impact on indirect energy consumption inequality.
