It introduces the general situation of embedded scientific research data management practice in Princeton University Library and University of Virginia Library, compares and analyzes the two embedded scientific research data management practice projects from the perspective of service subject, scientific research data management policy, service mode and service team. Then, the paper summarizes the beneficial enlightenment from the perspective of establishing scientific and systematic scientific research data management policy system, creating integrated embedded scientific research data management service mode and building a professional embedded scientific research data management service team, aiming to provide reference for the embedded scientific research data management of university libraries in China.
