In the 1970s,the golden age of American higher education development came to an end.The environmental changes have brought grave challenges to universities.As adversity leads to change,Cornell University has essentially begun to transform from a research-oriented university to an entrepreneurial one on the premise of sticking to the research-oriented foundation.The smooth transformation cannot be achieved without Cornell university’s extension of the idea of running an entrepreneurial university.First of all,Cornell University has innovated its educational philosophy on the premise of sticking to the scientific research concept.Secondly,Cornell University has gradually formed an innovative entrepreneurial education concept with its own characteristics suitable for developing an entrepreneurial university.Thirdly,it explains the concept of high-quality development of entrepreneurial universities through top-level design and overall planning.The concrete exploration and practice under the guidance of the above-mentioned educational concepts finally make Cornell University firmly take first place in higher education in the 21st century.
