摘要
大卫·弗格森(David Ferguson),中国外文局外文出版社资深英文审校,从事译审工作已长达14年,是《习近平谈治国理政》第一至第三卷、多部政府白皮书和其他党政文献英文版的主要审稿人,获得了中国政府友谊奖和中华图书特殊贡献奖。在本次访谈中,他分享了党政文献外译的审校经验,论述了党政文献的国际传播现状与中国国际形象的变化、国际传播的中外合作、传播理念和目标驱动,并对翻译硕士(MTI)人才培养提出了建议。
David Ferguson, a senior English editor at China International Publishing Group for over 14 years, is one of the major editors and polishers of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China(Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ), a number of white papers, and other political discourse. He has won the Chinese Government Friendship Award and the Special Book Award of China. In this interview, Mr. Ferguson shares his experience in revising translations of political discourse, his opinions on the status quo of international communication of political discourse, China’s changing international image, the communication concept, the objective-driven approach, and his suggestions for MTI education.
