摘要
跨文化能力培养是高校外语教学的重要目标之一,而外语教材则是实现这一目标的关键手段。本研究以《新未来大学英语综合教程3A》为研究对象,从教材编写原则、内容编排、练习活动三个层面考察其如何培养学生的跨文化能力,并针对性分析教材中关于跨文化能力培养的文化呈现内容。结果表明,该教材体现了培养学生跨文化能力的教学目标,将跨文化态度、知识、技能培养作为其编纂的目的之一;注重融入世界多元文化,同时强调中华文化的熏陶,体现了跨文化能力培养的思政要素。教师应充分发挥能动性,剖析教材蕴含的跨文化要素,注重跨文化教学的价值取向,引导学生学习中华优秀文化、理解和尊重异国文化、丰富世界文化,从而拓展学生的跨文化交际能力。
The cultivation of students’intercultural competence has become an important goal of foreign language teaching in Chinese tertiary education,and foreign language textbooks are the key means to achieve it.Based on an analysis of Over to You:An Integrated Course 3A,the current study examines how the textbook can cultivate students’intercultural competence from three aspects,namely,principles,content arrangement,and activities,and analyzes intercultural representations of the textbook.The results show that the textbook not only embodies the teaching objective of cultivating students’intercultural competence,but also seeks to foster students’intercultural attitudes,knowledge,and skills.It focuses on the world’s diverse cultures,strengthens the edification of Chinese culture,and integrates moral education into the textbook.It is suggested that teachers first conduct an agentive analysis of the intercultural elements in the textbook and pay special attention to the value orientation,and then guide students to learn Chinese fine culture,respect other cultures,and enrich world culture,in order to improve students’intercultural competence.
