Under the background of new industrialization, the steel industry is facing multiple pressures such as industrial structure upgrading, low-carbon requirement and weak industrial chain competitiveness. Digital transformation has become the only way for the high-quality development of the steel industry. NISCO is one of the earliest enterprises in the industry to carry out digital transformation, and its transformation cases are typical and advanced. This paper analyzes and summarizes the digital transformation methodology of the steel industry from multiple aspects including the digital transformation strategy, talent training, industrial Internet construction and data governance of NISCO. In the future, the steel industry should accelerate the deep integration of advanced digital technology and steel manufacturing, promote the transformation of China from a big steel country to an advanced steel country and make Chinese steel industry stronger and more competitive.
