摘要
本文以中国人工智能产业政策的实施作为研究视角,结合CEPII-BACI数据库中2010~2020年间中国HS6分位层面的出口产品数据,运用双重差分法,实证探究了人工智能产业政策对中国出口产品质量的影响。研究发现:人工智能产业政策对中国出口产品质量具有显著促进作用;不同收入水平、要素密集度与质量水平的出口产品也呈现明显的异质性。机制检验的结果显示,人工智能产业政策主要通过降低贸易成本和增强技术创新能力等途径来推进中国出口产品质量的跃升,其中技术创新效应的作用效果更为显著。本文为理解人工智能产业政策对中国出口产品质量升级的促进作用提供了新的视角,也为推进中国外贸高质量发展提供经验证据支持。
This study takes the implementation of China’s AI industrial policy as the research perspective,combined with the export product data of China’s hs6 level from 2010 to 2020 in CEPII-BACI database, and uses the Difference in Difference method to empirically explore the impact of AI industrial policy on the quality of China’s export products. The study found that the AI industrial policy has a significant role in promoting the quality of China’s export products. The study also found that export products with different income levels,different factor intensity and different quality levels also showed obvious heterogeneity. Finally, the conclusion of the mechanism test shows that the AI industrial policy mainly promotes the leap in the quality of China’s export products by reducing trade costs and enhancing the ability of technological innovation, among which the effect of technological innovation is more signifi cant. The research conclusion provides a new perspective for understanding the role of AI industrial policy on the quality upgrading of China’s export products, and provides empirical evidence support for promoting the high-quality development of China’s foreign trade.
