Objective To improve the correctness and compliance of hospital staff through systematic hand hygiene interventions. Methods Through the direct observation method, the correct rate, compliance rate and ATP test pass rate of all kinds of staff in a primary medical institution were calculated, and the correct rate, compliance rate and pass rate of hand hygiene were compared through the implementation of systematic intervention measures. Results The compliance rates of staff before and after the intervention were 57.25% and 83.00%, and the correct rate of hand hygiene was 72.05% and 95.74%, respectively, and the differences before and after the intervention were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Systematic intervention measures in primary medical institutions could effectively improve the compliance and correctness of hand hygiene of various staff, and correct hand washing methods could reduce the temporary microorganisms of medical staff, which is conducive to the prevention and control of hospital infection.
