中国人文主义视角下程朱理学文化形象译介路径——以译者陈荣捷为例

A Case Study of Cultural Images in the Introduction and Translation Works of Neo-Confucianism from the Perspective of Chinese Humanism

程朱理学思想的海外传播主要得益于陈荣捷的中国人文主义视角和以此为依归的译介路径。在其理学思想译介过程中,他基于理学重视人力、重视道德、敬鬼神而远之的中国式人文主义特质,对理学的文化形象进行了重构,注重在其作品中对中国人文主义概念进行详细阐述,在表达重要理学概念时利用全新的理学术语翻译褪去文字表面的神秘色彩和宗教色彩,并且采用文内评论或者文内加注的方式呈现完备的理学体系,强化其独特的中国人文主义色彩。

The dissemination of Neo-Confucianism in the international context owes a good deal to the unique perspective of Chinese humanism and the corresponding route of introduction and translation on the part of Chan Wing-tsit,an eminent philosopher dedicated to introducing Chinese philosophy to the western world.In the light of the humanistic features of Neo-Confacianism,Chan reconstructed the cultural image of the thought by expounding on the concept of Chinese humanism,creating a new set of term translation to divorce the thought from mysteries and religion as well as adopting in-text com­mentaries or annotations to facilitate a systematic understanding of the thought,thus he heightened the unique propensity for Chinese humanism in his works of introduction and translation of Neo-Confiician-ism.
