马丁·瓦尔泽是当代德国文坛最重要的作家之一,其中一些作品在当时的德国社会引起了巨大的波澜。瓦尔泽于2002年创作了德国文学界近年来最具争议的一部小说--《批评家之死》,小说引起了全社会的大辩论。瓦尔泽本人、文学评论家及各大报社以及广大读者都参与到了这场大辩论当中。争议与辩论的焦点在于这部小说究竟有没有包含“反犹太主义”色彩。文学艺术作品需要且应得到不同的评论的声音。作者不惧斗争对象以及部分报社和读者批判的观点,坚持自己的态度并创作文学作品,这样的作品才是最好的作品,并且全社会都愿意参与到辩论当中,这也正是艺术作品价值最好的体现。

Marin Walser is one of the most important wniters for the contemporary German literature.As far as his many famous works are concerned,some have caused sensations in the contemporary German society.In 2002,Walser published Death of a Critic,one of the most controversial novels in recent German literature,which has initiated a great debate in the whole society.Many parties,inclu-ding Walser himself,literary critics,major newspapers and readers,participate in it.The focus of the debate is whether the novel contains“anti Semitism”at all.Literary and artistic works need and de-serve different perspectives of criticism.The author should not be afraid of objections and criticisms by newspapers or readers,but should insist on his/her own attitude in creating literary works.Such works are the best ones,and the fact that the whole society is willing to participate in the debate also tetifies the value of artistic works.
