The Influence on Fan Group: Interpretation of Fan Group Phenomenon in the Context of Ideological and Political Education

近年来随着新媒体技术的不断发展,以明星为代表的偶像对青少年粉丝群体—迷群—愈加呈现出家庭和学校教育所望尘莫及的巨大影响力,因此借鉴迷群相关特性有助于提高对青少年思想政治教育的实效性。研究发现迷群认同主要具有如下特征:理想自我的投射、释放焦虑的安全阀及满足归属感的避风港等。迷群还具有两种积极的社会效应:想象共同体和公益孵化器。同时迷群也暴露出如下问题:网络暴力蔓延、侵权违法案件频出;极端行为凸显、扰乱公共秩序;资本操控、诱导消费。为减少负面影响、促进青少年健康成长,可采取如下措施:培养正确价值观、提高自身素养;加强关爱、增加线下生活吸引力;强化资本监管、处置不法行为。

In recent years with the continuous development of new media technology, idols represented by stars have a far greater influence on young fans – fan group – than family and school education could have. Therefore, learning relevant characteristics of fan group is helpful for improving the effectiveness of youth education. We find that fan group identification has the following core characteristics: projection of an ideal self, a safety valve to release anxiety, a haven to satisfy the sense of belonging, and so on. Fan group also has two positive social effects: imagined communities and incubator for public welfare. At the same time, fan group has also exposed the following problems: spreading of cyber violence and frequent cases of infringement and illegality;more occurrences of extremist behavior and interruptions of public order;manipulations by capital and induced fans consumptions. To reduce the negative impact and promote the healthy growth of the youth, the following measures are proposed: to guide youth to cultivate correct values and improve their qualities;to give more care to youth and increase the attractions of offline life;to strengthen the supervision over capital and punish illegal acts.
