Textual Research on Folk Adages in Qingshuijiang Documents

清水江文书多用俗语,给阅读造成一定的障碍。其中“踩明”“分受”“己面”“蓄禁”“执照”五个俗语词,意思较费解,容易误判。根据语境,结合传世文献,“踩明”即“四周的界限范围都划分清楚,边界清晰,不存在任何争议”,“分受”即“划分家产并且继承”,“己面”即“自己、本人”,“蓄禁”即“对林木蓄养禁伐,使得木植得以持续生长成材”,“执照”即“拿着以作为证明、凭证”。

Qingshuijiang documents are full of folk adages, which causes some obstacles to reading. Among them, “caiming”, “fenshou”, “jimian”, “xujin” and “zhizhao” are particularly difficult to understand and easy to misjudge. According to the context, combined with the handed down literature, it is clarified that “caiming” means that “the boundaries are clearly divided, and there is no dispute”;“fenshou” means “to divide the property and inherit it”;“jimian” means “oneself”;“xujin” is “to nourish trees and ban cutting so that they can grow into wood”;“zhizhao” means “to take it as a proof and certificate”.
