This paper analyzes the application of the principles of nature and harmony in modern urban landscape design, explores the embodiment of the ecological and cultural significance of Laozi’s thought in landscape design, and solves the problems of element selection and material application in landscape design with the cultural thought of "returning to nature" and "nothing is noble or humble".
