Trade Effects of FTA on Chinese Agricultural Products in the Context of RCEP

RCEP的正式签订促进了我国进一步区域合作和农产品出口贸易的发展。本文基于2005—2020年中国与RCEP缔约国的贸易数据,通过分析中国已签定的FTA文本的水平深度,借助多个方面的文本研究不同深度FTA的农产品贸易效应,探讨RCEP背景下协定文本深度对区域内贸易伙伴间农产品贸易的影响。实证结果显示:加入RCEP后,中国与各成员国之间加深了农产品贸易有关协定的深度合作,这将有助于中国向RCEP成员国的农产品出口,进一步提升我国农产品的综合竞争力。

The formal signing of RCEP promotes the further regional cooperation and the development of agricultural export trade in China. Based on the trade data of China and RCEP contracting countries from 2005 to 2020, by analyzing the level and depth of China’s signed FTA texts, this paper studies the effects of different depth FTA texts, and discusses the effect of the text depth of the agreement under the background of RCEP on intra-regional trade partners’ agricultural trade. The empirical results show that after China’s accession to RCEP, it has deepened the cooperation between China and the member countries in the relevant agreements on agricultural trade, which will help to China’s agricultural exports to RCEP member countries, so as to further enhance the comprehension competitiveness of China’s agricultural products.
