The Public Art Fund is one of the foremost non-profit public art institutions in the United States, dedicating to the design and implementation of local public art works in New York City.Having grown out of the New York Department of the Arts,it excels at funding and coordinating public art projects within the city’s organizational structure.Through a quantitative study of the institution’s art projects from 2012 to 2022,this paper sorts out the relationship among site resources, artist background and project implementation and analyzes the institution’s art decision-making and overall development trend.Furthermore, based on these, the eclectic social orientation of mainstream public art institutions in the United States is displayed.
