穗港澳商务英语专业人才社会需求研究

A Survey of the Social Needs for Business English Majors in Guangzhou,Hong Kong and Macao

近年来,“粤港澳大湾区”经济社会的持续稳步发展为商务英语专业带来了广阔的发展机遇。本研究问卷调查了广州、香港地区、澳门地区三地工作的217名商务英语专业毕业生。主要结果表明:(1)穗港澳三地都有较高商英岗位需求,就业范围广,但相比全国范围的调查,需求更高层次的商英人才(本科生需求占75.58%,研究生20.74%)。各类职业资格证书、英语水平证书及计算机等级证书仍是用人单位考虑的主要参考项目。(2)《商英国标》提出的五项知识和五项能力要求整体上与人才市场的实际需求相匹配。(3)除了《商英国标》关于五项知识和五项能力所列的指标外,商英人才实际工作中还有“心理学知识”“执行力”和“团队协作能力”的社会需求,同时强调了道德素养的重要性。研究为完善商英人才培养体系提供启示。

The sustainable and stable development of economy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has provided opportunities for business English majors in recent years.Taking217 business English graduates who work in Guangzhou,Hong Kong and Macao as the research subjects,this study conducts a questionnaire on the social needs for business English majors.The main results are:(1)The three cities are in great need of business English graduates in a wide range.But compared with the national survey,higher education background are required(bachelors 75.58%,post graduates 20.74%).All kinds of professional certificates,English proficiency certificates and computer certificates are still the employers’major concern.(2)The requirements of the five kinds of knowledge and five kinds of abilities from the National Criteria(National Criteria of Teaching Quality for business English Major)are in line with those from the employers.(3)Besides the requirements of the five kinds of knowledge and five kinds of abilities from the National Criteria,psychological knowledge,the ability to make immediate response and teamwork competency are also needed.In the meantime,good professional ethics have been emphasized.It offers implications to the cultivation system for business English majors in China.
