Liberating the Mind,Inheriting Humanities:People s Literature Publishing House s Training Course

1978—1980年,人民文学出版社针对招录的工农兵学员,在社内举办文学进修班,集合该社精锐编辑力量,以及北京大学等高校与科研院所的师资,就中国古典文学、中国现当代文学、外国文学等三方面开展业务培训。该班历时两年,将这批工农兵学员培养成今后行业的翘楚与栋梁。这既体现了严文井、韦君宜充满人情味的温暖呵护与解放思想的改革精神,又延续了抗战时期延安教学模式的传统。

From 1978 to 1980,the People s Literature Publishing House held a literature training course for the workers,peasants and soldiers they recruited.It s elite editorial force and teachers from universities and research institutes such as Peking University were gathered to carry out professional training in Chinese classical literature,modern and contemporary Chinese literature,and foreign literature.Over the two-year course,these workers,peasants and soldiers underwent training to become the future leaders and cornerstones of this profession.This was a reflection of Yan Wenjing s and Wei Junyi s nurturing kindness and their reformative spirit in their willingness to liberate minds.It also continues the legacy of the Yan an teaching model used during the Anti-Japanese War.
