摘要
商务印书馆的“大学丛书”是民国“大学丛书”中规模和影响最大的一部,对推动“教科书国化”产生了积极作用。作为大学教学用书,大学教育情况无疑是考察“大学丛书”出版和使用情况的重要角度。以国文系教学活动和讲义出版为参照,不难发现“大学丛书”的编辑出版离不开与大学的合作,而选科制的推行、已有所积淀的教学传统、各出版社之间的竞争等都对商务印书馆“大学丛书”的推广和使用产生一定的负面影响。虽然仅是一系的情况,但这为我们考察“大学丛书”的实际影响提供了思路和方法上的借鉴,也对已有研究结论有一定的补充作用。
The“University Series”published by the Commercial Press was the largest and the most influential“University Series”during the Republican period among all the“University Series”,which played an active role in the“nationalization of textbooks”.When examining the creation and usage of the“University Series”,which serves as a textbook for universities,the state of higher education would unquestionably be an essential viewpoint.Based on the teaching activities and publications of lecture notes of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature,it is easy to see that the editing and publication of“University Series”cannot be separated from collaboration with universities,the implementation of the subject selection system,the accumulated teaching tradition,and competition among publishers.These all have a certain impact on the promotion and use of the“University Series”of the Commercial Press.The use and promotion of the Commercial Press“University Series”have all been negatively impacted by the establishment of the subject selection system,the entrenched teaching tradition,and publisher competition.Even if this is merely a collection of cases,it gives us concepts and methodological pointers for analyzing the actual influence of the“University Series”and it complements the results of previous studies.
